Poetess, prose writer and doctoral student in musicology. In 2019, she was the laureate of the Poviedka 2019 and Básne SK/CZ 2019 competitions. In 2020, she released her debut collection of poems Deti Hamelnu (Children of Hameln) under the Skalná ruža publishing house, for which she received the Tatra Banka Foundation Prize in 2021, and in 2022, she was honored with the Václav Burian Prize for her new poems. In the same year, she published her debut collection of short stories, Dom pre jeleňa (A House for a Deer), under the KK Bagala publishing house, which is currently one of the ten nominated books for the Anasoft Litera award. Dominika is involved in managing the residency program Literárne rezidencie Košice and the literary residency exchange program between Iceland, Norway and Slovakia called Epic Residencies. She also creates poetry in the form of intervention in visual art through collaboration with artists such as Jan Durina, Samuel Velebný, and Peter Kašpar. She lives in Košice.
